Déroulement de la prestation

The wonders of Venice are best explored on the water, and adventurous travelers can be free to navigate the sites and sounds of Venetian life from their own kayak on this hour and a half private tour led by a local guide. You’ll travel past major sites like the Rialto Bridge, Marco Polo’s house, and the Grand Canal, and lesser-known neighborhoods that are only accessible to small boats or kayaks. You’ll see the happenings of daily life, and come away with a new perspective of Venice.
What You Can Expect
For adventurous travelers, the best way to view the romantic gondola-filled waterways, bridges, and cafe-lined piazzas of Venice, is on the water, as you’ll see on this one and a half hour private kayak tour departing between 10am and 7pm on request from Central Venice. No kayaking experience is needed, just your sense of wonder, and a willingness to explore famous sites including the Rialto Bridge and Marco Polo’s house and lesser-known neighborhoods. Unfortunately, the tour is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for children younger than 4-years-old. Your guide will help you choose a pedal- or oar-powered kayak, and provide steering and stopping lessons. Then you’ll set off on serene Venetian waters past the famous sites of the Grand Canal as your guide explains some of the Gothic, Byzantine, and Moorish influences in the architecture and history of the city and you marvel at brightly-colored brick buildings, piers, and porches that seem to float as you pass by. You’ll venture away from the crowds and well-known sites into backwater neighborhoods where you’ll see daily life as locals repair boats, prepare food, travel to and from work, and shop in the local markets, all on the water. Your tour will end in Central Venice where you can continue exploring the rich history of one of Italy’s most unique and magical cities.
